Abstract
Problems associated with the use of iron-base soft magnetic powder composites for magnetic cores of ac electric motors/machines are discussed in the paper. As a result of comprehensive investigations carried out at the Technical University of Wroclaw, factors controlling the attainment of specific desirable magnetic properties are presented. Some powder composites manufactured during this work and magnetic properties affecting their application are described. The conditions under which powder composites may be applied in practice are given; electrodynamic and technological processing criteria determining the design of electric machine parts made from such materials are discussed. Development possibilities for powder composites are given. PM/0255
