Abstract
Dr JOSEPH M. CAPUS gives a flavour of the largest gathering of its kind in history, the 1996 World Congress on Powder Metallurgy and Particulate Materials (PM2Tec'96), held in the Sheraton Washington Hotel on 16–21 June. PM2Tec'96 drew an attendance of more than 2100 from 43 countries, including over 500 delegates from 40 countries outside North America. The congress was sponsored by MPIF/APMI and organised by the staff of MPIF with the help of an 82 strong Technical Programme Committee and an International Liaison Committee. On p. 190, Dr David Whittaker picks out some highlights of the extensive modelling programme.
