EPMA Short Courses

‘Powder Compaction’ and ‘Sintering — Theory and Practice’

Pages 258-266 | Published online: 19 Jul 2013

Abstract

Intensive short courses are becoming an increasingly important aspect of EPMA's activities, writes Dr DAVID WHITTAKER. While some of these concentrate on specialist issues such as powder injection moulding or designing of PM parts against fatigue, there is a continuing need to revisit the basic PM production processes of compaction and sintering – both to educate newcomers to the industry/technology and to update the knowledge of established members of the PM community.
