Abstract

Powder metal components for demanding automotive applications have been supplied by Sandvik Hard Materials for nearly a decade and, as CURT JONSSON reports, the company is now prepared to talk about this publicly. The most exciting area of this development concerns small parts—can the PM hardmetals prolong service life, enhanced performance, and reduce production costs?
