Abstract
The EPMA European Hard Materials Group (EHMG) held the second of its themed WinteRev meetings in Barcelona on 24–25 February 2005, report BRYAN ROEBUCK and PETER BREWIN. Hosted by Professor Luis Llanes of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, the meeting was attended by 17 persons from 12 organisations. Centres of expertise and industrial organisations came together to discuss various issues associated with hardmetal and hard materials powder characterisation in an informal setting.
