Pages 235-236 | Published online: 19 Jul 2013

Abstract

A container module has been designed, manufactured and tested for the transport of a contaminated gas circulator between Heysham I and Hartlepool Nuclear Power Stations. The module was designed to be re-usable and to comply with the requirements of the IAEA transport regulations. A gas circulator, weighing approximately 38 tonnes, was successfully transported from Heysham I to Hartlepool in April 1994.
