Abstract
Gravatom Engineering Systems Ltd (GESL) have been involved in the design, manufacture, testing and certification of radioactive materials transport packaging for some 30 years. Over that time they developed a team of engineers and facilities capable of bringing packages into service, ranging from excepted to Type A, at their Bishops Waltham site. Type B(U) packages are also designed and built at Bishops Waltham but there are no water immersion or fire test facilities there. This paper describes the test equipment and the supporting facilities at GESL.
