Abstract
In France, provisions of the TS-R-1 regulations elaborated by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) are implemented following a dual process of transposition at both the international and national levels. This process, which is complex in practice, justifies the active participation of France in the drafting of the IAEA recommendations, well before their transposition into domestic regulations. Moreover, at the national level France has adopted a mode of transposition favouring the rapid incorporation of changes in the IAEA ‘Regulations’. Finally, this process is accompanied by actions to raise awareness, and improve communication, traming and inspections.
