Community College Student Affairs Administrators' Perceptions Regarding Intercollegiate Athletics and Attractiveness of Institution

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine community college student affairs administrators' perceptions of intercollegiate athletics in the community college setting. Participants were student affairs administrators selected from community colleges within the southeastern region of the United States. Using a quantitative cross-sectional survey research design, data regarding community college student affairs administrators' perceptions of intercollegiate athletics were investigated using a web-based survey. Results from the descriptive analysis showed that the majority of community college student affairs administrators' had positive perceptions related to the attractiveness of intercollegiate athletics at community colleges.
