Summary

Ibuprofen, in a daily dosage range of 600 mg. to 1200 mg., was given to 100 patients suffering from a variety of rheumatic conditions for periods ranging from 1 to 3 months. The drug was found to be effective and well-tolerated by the majority of patients, even by those with associated conditions such as gastro-intestinal disorders which often make treatment difficult with other antirheumatic agents. Side-effects were reported in only 4 patients.
