Creating A Paperless Workflow: A Case Study

&

Abstract

In any traditional organization where requests must go through a chain of approval, the work and volume of paper forms seems to grow exponentially by each level of approval. This was the case at the University of Tennessee, Memphis. To cut down on the time, expense, and clutter associated with paper approval forms, an electronic system was designed and implemented. This article tells the story of how this was accomplished.
