Information Resource Management: Foundation for Knowledge Management

Abstract

Today, enterprises are challenged to do things faster, better, and more cost-effectively in order to remain competitive. As a result, there is a strong need to share knowledge in a way that makes it easier for individuals, teams, and enterprises to work together to effectively contribute to an enterprise's success in an increasingly global and competitive economy. the objective is to better coordinate their activities around a common purpose, and to provide individuals and teams with access to the information and knowledge they need:when they need it, from wherever it exists, and in a form they can use.
