Abstract

When most CIOs transition from one information technology group to that of another company, they seldom think about what happens to their old group once they leave. Instead, the outgoing CIO begins focusing on the challenges of the new situation. A true act of leadership, however, is to consider how to help one's replacement to hit the ground running.
