Abstract

More than 100 IS executives discuss their organizations' plans to decentralize information systems and the larger role decentralization will play in their systems architecture. This changing architecture reflects a changing role for IT, which will be increasingly more responsible for setting enterprisewide standards and supporting business strategies.
