Managing The Risks of Managed Security Services

Bond Masuda ([email protected]) is an independent security consultant servicing financial institutions, intellectual property businesses, and E-commerce computing companies. In the financial software sector, he had provided IT security engineering and designed architectures for network service infrastructures. In this role, he integrated open-source solutions with proprietary products to enhance security and lower operational costs in production data centers. As a security manager, he was a leader in integrating security practices into business processes and developed the BOSP framework.

Abstract

The information security industry has been around for quite a while, but only in the past decade has it matured and become a widespread practice throughout commerce. As the information security industry matures and grows, the application of certain economic principles, such as economies of scale, becomes apparent.
