Abstract
This article discusses the general use of analytical tech-niques to assist in IS audit planning and testing. It focuses on the use of electronic spreadsheets to analyze decision alterna-tives effectively before selecting a specific plan that one will implement. One of the main objectives of such an appraisal is to match the limited resources of those who are available to perform the audit to the organizational risks that may be as-sociated with not matching the two properly.
