Abstract

Electronic commerce is beginning to have an effect on the lives of all of humanity. What has occurred thus far is just the beginning of what can be expected in the future. The volume of the trade and commerce that is being carried out on the Internet is doubling or tripling every year.In just a few years, it is anticipated that electronic commerce will be generating hundreds of billions of dollars in sales of goods and services. The transfer of electronic cash is the catalyst behind the breakneck pace at which the functioning of the Internet superhighway is increasing. These developments are anticipated to continue and to significantly impact various aspects of IT control, audit, and security.
