Abstract
The Microsoft Windows NT operating system is a robust information-processing application server that is very well-suited for functioning with small to mediumsized databases. MS Windows NT offers symmetrical multiprocessing and has a 32-bit preemptive multitasking memory architecture. This architecture allows each application to run in its own address space. and each application will be unaware of the existence of the other concurrent processes. So, if a particular application fails, the damage that may result from this will be limited to those memory locations that are part of its address.
