Abstract
In societies throughout the world, the economically disadvantaged are often negatively stereotyped and blamed for their circumstances. The authors of this essay challenge readers to avail themselves to opportunities that can not only cause them to be more compassionate toward the less fortunate, but propel them to social advocacy.
