Positive Health Psychology: An Interview With Shelley Taylor

Abstract

Grant Jewell Rich is visiting instructor of psychology at Ohio State University-Mansfield, where he teaches a variety of courses including social psychology, research methods, and introductory psychology. Currently, he is guest editing a special issue of the Journal of Humanistic Psychology on "positive psychology."

Shelley Taylor is professor of Psychology at the University of California, Los Angeles and has also taught at Harvard University. She has won numerous awards, including the Distinguished Scientist Award from the American Psychological Association. Her articles and book chapters have addressed a number of topics in social cognition and health psychology. She has authored or coauthored several textbooks. Currently, she is examining biological underpinnings of social support processes.
