Automated Procedure for Obtaining Standard Error and Confidence Interval for Scale Reliability

Abstract

A readily applicable procedure for obtaining an approximate standard error and confidence interval for scale reliability with fixed congeneric measures is outlined. The method is based on a utilization of the bootstrap methodology with an appropriate structural equation model. The approach is substantially simpler to employ than earlier interval estimation procedures for composite reliability. The proposed method is illustrated by means of a numerical example.
