Abstract

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic disease that is often characterized by weakness or paralysis, bowel and bladder dysfunction, language impairments, and sensory disorders (Lewis & Collier, 1992). These alterations can affect the lifestyle of those with MS and caregivers, who are required to meet many increased demands affecting all aspects of their lives (O'Brien, 1993b).
