Abstract
The Consultation Models Revisited series of articles appearing in volume 6 are a testament to the historical strength of consultation approaches and the continuing innovation illustrated by consultation researchers and practitioners. This discussion article highlights the challenges still apparent in developing consultation strategies that are part of a comprehensive plan of services to children. Preventive work is emphasized along with interventions that are aimed at societal issues such as poverty and racism.
