Pages 41-42 | Published online: 20 Nov 2009

Abstract

A course, Current Advances in Psychology, is described. Students read and discuss recent articles from journals, such as American Psychologist and Psychological Bulletin. In addition, videotapes depicting recent advances in psychology are shown. Students benefit by reading important journal articles and participating in an active learning process, wherein research is examined carefully and critically. Instructors benefit by reading current psychological literature and kicking the lecture habit.
