The Head Start Teaching Center: An Evaluation of an Experiential, Collaborative Training Model for Head Start Teachers and Parent Volunteers

Pages 28-31 | Published online: 18 Nov 2009

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of an experiential, collaborative learning model for teachers and parents in a large, urban Head Start program. This model was compared to an approach based on a more typical out- side-consultant workshop training model. The results show promise for the collaborative model.
