Listening Pedagogy and Andragogy: The State of the Art

The information age … Electronic media … Title II—Establishment of a New Title II of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 … A Nation at Risk … Organizational findings … These are some of the factors that have evoked the need for listening instruction and, thus, have shaped the state-of-the-art of listening pedagogy and andragogy within the last decade. The purpose of this paper is to review those influences on listening instruction in academic and corporate classrooms.
