Pages 123-137 | Received 12 Apr 2005, Accepted 26 Jul 2005, Published online: 07 Sep 2008

Abstract

Although there is a lack of formal research on group supervision, the process of classroom assessment can provide assistance to instructors in evaluating the everyday effectiveness of group supervision as a teaching tool. An illustration is provided of the use of classroom assessment in a situation where group supervision was not working. The outline of a structured strategy for enhancing group dynamics, which emerged out of the process of classroom assessment, is also included.
