Abstract
A mainstreaming support program in a public high school is described where regular educators take the lead in teaming with special educators as advocates for adolescents with significant social, behavioral, and/or emotional problems. In the article, the conceptual bases for the Educational Leadership Team (ELT) are reviewed. Then, a description of the project in which the ELT is embedded is provided. Next, a case sludy summary of the project is discussed. Finally, conclusions and implications are considered with request to the utilization of this approach as a potentially effective mainstream support.
