Peer-Mediated Professional Development Groups for Special Services Practitioners

Abstract

The peer support group is described as a practical and useful way of promoting the continuous development of special services professionals in school settings. The nature and scope of such a group is described, strengths and limitations of the approach are noted, and guidelines for practice, training, and research are discussed.
