Abstract
To evaluate the effectiveness of a social skills proram for improving the social interactions and peer relationships of fifth grade children, a clinical analysis was conducted and compared to the statistical analysis. Social validation was used to assess clinical outcomes. Results showed that the treatment group (n = 20) made significant clinical gains on sociometric ratings and the roleplay tests. Low status children (n = 5) made significant gains on the roleplay tests and two of these children made significant gains on the sociometric measures.
