Abstract

This article reports the results of a survey regarding the attitudes of older adults about senior health fair planning and their perceptions of what areas of interest such a fair should focus on. Findings indicate that the most successful senior health fair would be one that would be held in the afternoon during the early part of the week, Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday, preferably with no cost to the attendees and with transportation provided. Health screening for blood pressure, glaucoma, diabetes, and cholesterol as well as information on recreation and exercise in maintaining good health, including massage, were recommended.
