Pages 29-34 | Received 08 Apr 1995, Accepted 03 Jun 1995, Published online: 12 Oct 2008

ABSTRACT

A toilet training procedure is described for children with developmental disabilities who resist urinating in the toilet but readily eliminate in their diapers. The procedure consists of establishing in-diaper urinating while sitting on the toilet and then progressively transferring stimulus control by gradually fading-out the presence of the diaper. Training guidelines are presented and briefly discussed.
