Abstract

In this paper we discuss programs designed to combat alcohol-related problems in the workplace, with special emphasis on international employment settings. Alcohol risk factors in employment, and prevention and treatment are discussed, as are some of the more difficult problems such as who should be responsible for programs. Current World Health Organization activities in the area are reviewed.
