Abstract
Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs) are rapidly growing, and with this growth the goals of these programs also have broadened. There is increasing recognition that EAPs should be evaluated for their effectiveness in achieving these goals. The evaluation process poses a number of problems. This paper presents key issues to be considered for such evaluations-including the major obstacles encountered, and possible solutions to overcome them.
