Social Workers in Union-Based Programs

Abstract

Labor-based social work has grown slowly, but steadilv. over the last fifteen vears. This paper examines developments and conceptualizations assisting the planning and implementation of social service programs in trade unions. Operational framework, skills attractive to labor, and the extensive service assignment are also treated. The paper concludes by highlighting the emergence of an important forum in labor uniting all its helping enterprises. It is a forum in which social work has a key role.
