Abstract
Patient-treatment matching for alcohol problems hasbeen attempted primarily in military settings (VAs) with successThis paper proposes that a corporation can be an effective matchingagent. The benefits of in-house alcohol programs are maintained(e.g., non-stigmatized initial contact) while the problems (e.g., confidentiality)are minimized. The corporation as treatment match facilitatoris examined from the individual's and the corporation's perspective. It is emphasized that education is a primary goal since theclient is the ultimate matching agent.
