Abstract

The major objective of this presentation is to provide an overview of the following ten types of evaluative studies for an Employee Assistance Program: (1) service needs; (2) compliance/ legality; (3) program adequacy; (4) external resources; (5) program effort; (6) program effectiveness; (7) program benefit equity; (8) client satisfaction; (9) costbenefit; and (10) program constraint analysis. Each selected evaluation area includes major conceptual questions which need to be considered for administrative, participatory, or consumer functions of EAP evaluation.
