ABSTRACT
In today's ever changing environment, a great deal of literature exists addressing patient and family satisfaction and well-being in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit setting. However, very little exists addressing issues as they relate to the intensive care unit staff. In an effort to respond to this need, a privately funded pilot project was initiated, developed and implemented in a PICU setting at the University of Virginia Health Sciences Children's Medical Center. The following is a descriptive article outlining the process, methods utilized and the educational outcomes in meeting the project's goals.
