Abstract
The design and construction of a multi-role aquaculture cage is described. This cage was designed with consideration of role flexibility, survivability, resistance to the elements, stability, transportability, construction simplicity, inherent non-toxicity of construction materials, and expense. Materials used in its construction are readily available and inexpensive, Variations on the basic design can be built easily and tailored to particular parameters. Nonstandard features include the collapsible frame, which can be flooded for additional stability, and the ability to rotate the cage for easy access to enclosed organisms while the cage is still in the water.
