ABSTRACT
This article is a response to the criticisms raised by Webb and Widseth (2005) to my article (Hatchett, 2004) “Reducing Premature Termination in University Counseling Centers.” Although Webb and Widseth quibble over some of the specific findings in the literature review, their chief complaint seems to be that the assertions and recommendations presented in my article are incongruent with their personal experiences and framework for college counseling. I confront the major criticisms raised in their commentary and explain how the information and recommendations presented in my original article are pertinent to the current student population.
