Holy Matrimony

SUMMARY

Sacredness in marriage is described psychologically as an intense, complex, committed bond, mutually respectful and vulnerable, whose unique depth for both persons evokes the special word “holy.” Examples are cited, including the qualities lacking and at stake in problematic marriages.
