Perspectives on Course Outlines in Social Work Education

Do Faculty and Administrators Differ?

Abstract

Does being an administrator of faculty affect how social work educators view course outlines? Performing a MANOVA on a national survey of 290 educators, the results indicate that administrators differ significantly from faculty in their view on only one of the four dimnesions identified on perspectives toward course outlines in academia. Administrators are more likely than faculty to view course outlines as property of the institution than that of individual faculty members.
