&
Pages 81-100 | Published online: 13 Oct 2008

ABSTRACT

Content on violence has been neglected in the social work practice curriculum. This paper describes a model that integrates content on social work practice with victims and perpetrators of violence into a first-year MSW practice curriculum. Included are a required knowledge base, values clarification exercises, skills for assessment and intervention with individuals, families, and groups, and strategies to help students manage feelings. A sample bibliography is included.
