Improving Teacher Instructional Behavior

Evaluation of a Time Management Training Program

Pages 27-36 | Published online: 26 Oct 2008

Abstract

Improving the productive use of employee time concerns most supervisors in organizational settings. In this paper, a time management program for organizational staff members (nine public school teachers) is described and evaluative results of the use of the program are reported. Using a multiple baseline across schools design, results suggest that training teachers in time management can increase and maintain the amount of time devoted to academic instruction of pupils. Limitations of the study are discussed and directions for future research are noted.
