Abstract
This article describes the systematic development of a comprehensive network of services to which cancer patients can be referred for assistance in meeting their rehabilitation needs. This referral network was designed for use by a social worker and an oncologist working with cancer patients in a large metropolitan area. The authors describe the process of establishing the network in detail and make suggestions for adapting it to different purposes and settings.
