Abstract

This study examined the influence of family of origin and social network on the divorce process. It turned out that this network of relationships, including the family and organizations, has an impact on the effects of divorce in a supportive manner which helps to facilitate the divorce and adjustments to it. The satisfaction one feels with their current marriage is influenced by the contact they have had with relatives since the divorce. Participation in orga- nizations and clubs also turned out to be significantly related to the feeling that things are better now than during lhe divorce.
