Supporting Children After Divorce

An Interpretation of Power and Control Dynamics in Obligor/Obligee Interactions

Abstract

Written transcripts of public hearings conducted to gather information about how the child support guidelines in one state affected parents and children are used to interpret the power and control dynamics of supporting children following divorce. Implications are discussed for the development of parent education programs for divorcing parents.
