Abstract
Botulinum toxin has been shown to be safe and effective for the treatment of a variety of ophthalmologic, neurologic, and dermatolgic disorders. Success of botulinum toxin in treatment of these various disorders had led to investigation of the use of botulinum toxin in myofascial pain and tension-type headache management. Limited controlled clinical trials and case reports are available to support the use of botulinum toxin for these indications. These data are reviewed.
