Abstract

Background: Some diseases may produce a clinical condition which resembles fibromyalgia syndrome (FS). Findings: A case with FS, concomitant and possibly secondary to primary hyperaldosteronism, is presented. Operative treatment of the primary disease significatly relieved the FS symptons. Conclusions: Measurement of serum potassium would be a reasonable inclusion in the diagnostic investigations of FS, especially in hypertensive cases.
