Abstract
Articles describing incidents with problem patrons in libraries stress the importance of security plans. With the current trend toward extended hours of operation for academic libraries in mind, this article offers first-hand experiences with security planning. The discussion centers on planning measures primarily as a means to create a heightened consciousness of library security, emphasizing technological questions, and policy concerns.
